This small volume is wonderful in the way it
eloquently portrays life under occupation from a
child's point of view. It is a poignant and painful
story about growing up in occupied Palestine under
the guns of the Israeli army. Although depressingly
accurate, it is not without humour and flashes of
hope. Written for teenage children, A Little Piece
of Ground is a book, which spans the age gap and which
adults will also enjoy.
